a cruise for our honeymoon?

Getting married is exciting, but having our honeymoon in a far-off place got me excited even more!! Hehe! =) We plan to honeymoon in Coron, Busuanga Island, Palawan before the Boracay developers invade the area. Already, these "bad guys" are buying up white-sand islands left and right to develop it into unaffordable resorts. Sigh! Future hubby and I initially wanted a honeymoon cruise (Mediterranean cruises were our dream!) but we thought that if we forego Coron, the next time we'll be there, it's natural vibe will be ruined by the resortsy atmosphere. Guess we'll do cruises next time!

And with that, I mean your honeymoon night! Hehe! Your wedding day does not end with the ceremony or reception, it goes on and on til the night of your honeymoon =) And if you're lucky, your honeymoon might extend for days and weeks in some exotic parts of the world! WOW! I wish we could afford that but we simple couldn't, LOL! Anyway, for your wedding night, prepare your most special bridal lingerie (like the one in the photo) and make it a night that your husband and you won't forget for a long, long time.. ^_^

Since we will be having a fairytale-themed wedding (this October 8 at 2pm in St. Francis, god-willing), Labsie won't wear the usual Filipino groom's barong but will be wearing a four-piece tailor-made suit. Yup, the one in the pic at left =) He plans to wear dark gray pants and jacket with dark pink (or perhaps red) vest and pink necktie. Of course, gold cufflinks is also a must. I bet Labsie will be the most dashing man in our wedding! He's tall and well-built so suits look good on him. Yum! Hehe! ^_^

wedding planning software

It's April and in only six months, we're getting married! =) That's the upside of that, the downside -- there's still so much planning to do! We only booked the church, cake maker, and florist -- the rest are still up for grabs. Wedding planning is a bit meticulous but so far we're enjoying it (thank god we have a wedding planning software!). What we're not enjoying is the budgeting aspect of it. So many things to pay for, and some, for sure, will be forgotten. And hence the need for a separate budgeting software. Can you tell us what's the best to use? Thanks! =)

Most of you probably know that my boyfriend of nearly 9 years and I are getting married, God-willing, this coming October =) Our wedding plans are mostly laid out already but we’re still looking for that perfect wedding reception place. Yup, that's the 'something special' event I've been talking about the past few days :-) You can view our wedding blog for more details at -- www.solito-elbanbuena.INFO ... As expected, my parents were thrilled with the news. Hehe! And their first request to us? To give them a grandchild ASAP, wahh! I really don't see myself getting pregnant and being a mom anytime soon *shakes head* And yes, that's the engagement ring in the picture. I wanted a simpler one (am not really into jewelries) but Labsie wanted lots of bling so.. :-)

One event is my medical board exam this August, and the other event is still secret. Hehe! The coolest thing in their website is the Grapevine Serial. It’s kind of a video diary (or webisodes) that the girls made to document their current project and what-nots. There are voice-overs, illustrations and animations to provide you with your daily entertainment dose. Personally I found each episode fun and interesting to watch. Everybody wants a happy marriage but few knew how to "cook" one. Hehe! Here's a happy marriage recipe I snagged from Chikai. Digest it and apply to your relationships! Not just marriages.. =)

1 cup consideration
1 cup courtesy
2 cupfuls flattery carefully concealed
1 gallon faith and trust in each other
2 cupfuls praise
1 small pinch of in-laws
1 reasonable budget, a generous dash of cooperation
3 teaspoon pure extract of "I’m sorry"
1 cup contentment
1 cup each confidence and encouragement
1 large or several small hobbies
1 cup blindness to the other’s faults

Instructions:
Flavor with frequent portions of recreation and a dash of happy memories.  Stir well and remove any specks of jealousy, temper or criticism.  Sweeten well with generous portions of love and keep warm with a steady flame of devotion.  Never serve with cold shoulder.

Less than a month to go and it’s another red-letter holiday! Well, not really an official holiday but with all the pomp and pageantry stores do during Valentines Day, you’d think we’re celebrating some momentous event. Hehe! A male cousin (hi Manong Oy!) just announced that he’s gonna wed his longtime sweetheart from our hometown next year. We are all excited about it coz this is the Tan family’s first wedding that’s going to take place in Kidapawan, our hometown. Manong Oy’s elder brother got married last year but it was in the hometown of the bride so most of the Tan family members weren’t able to attend. And then a high school friend of mine is busy preparing for her April wedding next year. Good thing she and her future hubby has plenty of money so they are able to hire a wedding coordinator. Less stress, lol! Anyway, all this wedding news got me thinking about my own wedding…

Finished Christmas shopping for my family and Labsie's family today. It was really fun while we hunted for imported bargains =) Labsie complained of sore feet and we didn't even walked around the mall stores a lot! Maybe guys are just made differently from women. WE are built to last, at least while shopping. Hehe!

My beach escapade continues! Last week I was in Boracay, then just this Monday I was in our beachside Samal property. And earlier this afternoon, I'm in Bluewaters Resort with Labsie's family and relatives to celebrate multiple birthdays :-) The beach was amazing and as usual, "I swam, dove; kissed and loved the sea.." Weddings are a nightmare to prepare. There are so many things to do –- small details to sweat over and big things to execute until the wedding day. I’ve been planning to get a wedding planner but I feel my mother’s gonna be the best wedding coordinator I’d ever get for the least price, lol! When I turned 18 more than 7 years ago, it was my mom who arranged my debut. The only thing I did was make the invitations, choose my dress and the debut giveaways. Maybe for my future wedding, all I’d do is just choose the pretty wedding favors and make unique invitations. Ahh, that’s what I call stress-free wedding planning… A girl can dream, right?? Lol! Last year, I was a bit disappointed coz their issue was so tame, tsk! But this year, they have more than made up for it! Dingdong’s centerfold was stunning! He was totally nude!
