Well, not really an official holiday but with all the pomp and pageantry stores do during Valentines Day, you’d think we’re celebrating some momentous event. Hehe! Another year ends and Top 10 lists of everything are being released left and right. Here's my fave list -- Top 5 torrent sites of 2007! Full article is HERE.

1. Mininova - Without a doubt the most visited BitTorrent site. In November, Mininova reached a milestone by entering the list of the 50 most visited websites on the Internet.

2. IsoHunt - IsoHunt continued to grow this year. In September they were forced to close their trackers to US traffic because of the issues they have with the MPAA, but this had no effect on the visitor count.

3. The Pirate Bay - The Pirate Bay has been in the news quite a bit this year and remains not only the most used BitTorrent tracker, but also one of the most visited BitTorrent sites. At the moment they are fighting with IsoHunt for the second place in this list.

4. Torrentz - Torrentz is the only “torrent site” in the top 10 that doesn’t host .torrent files. Several improvements and new features have been introduced over the past year such as a comment system, private bookmarks and a cleaner layout.

5. BTjunkie - BTjunkie was one of the fastest risers last year and continued to grow throughout 2007. Last month they were, like many others, forced to leave their ISP (LeaseWeb), but the transition to a new host went smoothly and didn’t result in any downtime.

Oh man, I love HD! If you don’t know what HD is, it means high definition (not hidden desire, lol). If you watched nature or travel channels recently, you would sometimes notice a mark “HDTV” on their shows, and I just bet you loved the crispness of their documentaries. dreaming of Mac…

In my other blog (Issa’s Dollar Earners), I always post the latest happenings in the world of Apple and Mac. I’m an Apple fangirl but the truth is, I’ve never bought anything made from them. Lol! Also, I haven’t made the switch from PC to Mac. Why? Because my tech-savvy brothers say its hard to find Mac games and applications that will run correctly. But that was then, when other Mac fanatics did not share their work to other Mac users; now’s a different story. Recently I searched the web, and lo! I saw loads of free Mac games! Yes! They even have a version of the ubiquitous Windows solitaire, only now it’s called Mac solitaire. Hehe! So, am I gonna switch now? Hmmm, let me find more free Mac games and apps then I’d consider the switch more seriously. Abangan! =)

games, games, games! =)

People close to me know that I am super addicted to computer games! Whether it be online or offline. My favorite game of all time is The Sims, a simulation game wherein you’re able to control your characters, manage their lives and build houses. Perfect for OCs like me, hehe! I’m sure you’ve heard of this great game already. After all, it’s the best-selling PC game of all time =) My addiction to PC games started when I was in Grade 4 when we had our very first computer. We played Tetris, Prince of Persia, Family Feud, Carmen San Diego, and chess on it. We can’t play chess online then as the internet only came into my life during high school. And take note, all the games I’ve mentioned we’re still in 2D and mostly in grayscale! Talk about primitive, hehe!

Anyway, one of my BFFs recently got a laptop and she’s been hankering to play some games as her form of relaxation. I offered to download games for her since we have unlimited Internet access at home. I searched the internet and man, there are so many choices out there! I don’t know what to download for her. Would she like free online games (in case she’s in a wifi area) or just offline games like Diner Dash and Mystery Case Files? So many choices, really.. How about you guys? And so far, I've been more than satisfied with my finds! =) But as they say, the best things in life are free. That got me thinking, "Can I get a free book online??" The answer? A big YES!!! Migosh! Time flies so fast! –BER month na pala! And here in our country, September officially starts the Christmas season, lol! Yup, believe it or not, Christmas season is 3 months long in our country. Can your country top that?? :p Halloween and Thanksgiving are just part of the Christmas season, they aren’t given special attention (save for the days being declared as holidays) as in western countries. Christmas is the be-all and end-all here. I’m a bum right now and I’m really worried about the Christmas gifts I’ll give coz I don’t have much money to spend. I must stretch my meager budget and look for great deals and discounts. And in the world wide web, discounts aren’t hard to find, thank god! Usually online discounts are offered in the form of coupons thus, my efforts will be geared toward finding discount coupons of my favorite online stores!

One of my fave online stores is BestBuy. They have cheap electronics and almost all items have 10-20% discount. A close friend of mine bought her wifi-ready laptop there for $599. A great bargain! Maybe that’s where I’ll buy my Christmas gift for myself – a laptop too! =) For my parents, maybe I’ll get them a big box of imported wines. Just have to make sure it’s red wine so its gonna be good for their hearts. As for two brothers, Sony products would deliriously make them happy. So easy to shop for them, no problem at all! =)

Nah, it's just more of my jazzed up photos. Hehe! I really like this theme, your picture as a museum painting, with onlookers viewing your face. I’m so happy!!! I didn’t know PayPerPost would be the one to introduce me to the BEST file sharing utility in the whole wide world! You see, I have tons and tons of files in my pc that needs online backup or parking. I have tried many utilities but it’s either it’s not easy to use or it has low uploading or storage limits. Also, I love to send large files over the Internet but email providers only allow a max of 10-20mb. Harsh! I mean, how am I gonna send a video which is usually more than 100mb in size? Sure, I could upload it to YouTube but it won’t be as good. Also, what if your video is private?? Enter Driveway! It is newly launched and is web 2.0 compliant. Before posting this, I tried their services and I’m more than satisfied! =) They allow sharing of files up to 500mb EACH with UNLIMITED total storage! Imagine that?? Is there any other site that can provide you with this?? I don’t think so!

Aside from unlimited file storage, Driveway allows you to send large files via your email. You just have to use their ParkIt links. Also they will allow editing of your uploaded file by other persons if you chose that option. See the “send files for EDIT” button in the screenshot above. Other cool features of Driveway include creating widgets using your files for you to post in your blog or website. Also they have a plugin that allows you read/edit uploaded files without saving it first to your pc as we usually do. Really cool huh?? I can’t wait to exhaust all their features, lol!
