family holiday pictures!

As promised, here are some of our family photos from our Boracay vacation. Kudos to my mother who was constantly on the phone to find the gem among the many vacation packages that Boracay resorts offer. Anyway, I really enjoyed our family holiday especially since we wanted to go to Boracay for the longest time but our schedules (work and school) didn’t match until now. Our next vacation? Hopefully outside the country! Hehe! We did Hongkong when it had no Disneyland yet, and my parents have been to Malaysia, Singapore, and other Southeast Asian countries already. So, is it time we go for an American or European holiday?? Hehe! *cross fingers* I’m sure there are a lot of cheap vacation packages online (like the ones offered by Club Med) that we can afford. Scroll down for our pictures and more info about Club Med.

arghh!!

A couple of posts back, I blogged about the merits of having a digicam. This time, due to an unfortunate event, I’m gonna tell you want one of its downsides. When we went to Boracay, we had two digicams (my bro’s and the family one) and one 3mp phone camera (mine). Between the three cams, we shot loads of photos. I already uploaded my foncam photos and copied the pics from my bro’s cam. I was ready to upload the photos from the Sony Cybershot family cam when its battery went out. Naturally, I had to look for the digital camera battery charger to power it up. The unfortunate incident? I couldn’t find the charger despite super-duper diligent search! Wahh!! I might have left it in Makati, or misplaced it here. Sigh! I was excited pa naman to upload the Boracay and Subic photos I took o_O And so, I think this is one of the downside of digicams with rechargeable internal batteries. You really can’t use them if you don’t have the charger. Tough luck! =(

good olde digicam

I love taking photographs of remarkable persons, places, and things. My favorite subjects are food and nature in its wildest glory. I love taking photos of flowers, dragonflies, panoramas of mountains and sunsets. When our cameras still use film, I take a long time before taking a shot so as not to waste the film and to save on the expensive photo processing. But given that I’m an amateur, only about 2-3 (out of 10) photos turn out great despite my careful judgment. What a waste right?? Still, at least I have great photos, even if there are only a few. LOL! Then in 2001, my parents bought the family’s very first digital camera. It was a Fuji and boy, was I ecstatic! I could preview the shots I took, erase what I don’t like, and take a picture again. Simply perfect for amateurs like me!

Fast forward to 2004, my parents bought another digicam and chose a Sony Cybershot. It was remarkable to us back then, with 5.1 megapixels (mp) with video + audio recording, and lots of photo customization features. But if you compare it to digital cameras these days, it is already Jurassic!  Now there are 10mp cameras with zoom and settings for every environment possible (i.e. night, snowing, by the beach, candlelight, etc). Still, we never let go of our Fuji and Cybershot cameras. They are more than enough for our photographic needs, mostly family events and my nature pics. If you don’t own a digicam, I suggest you buy one. It will be a “need” once you tried it! Oh yeah, the photo above is my favorite FOOD photo taken with the Cybershot. Looks sooo good huh?? It was our lunch in Hof Gorei Resort last October 14 =) And do buy a digicam the soonest you can! You won't regret it, promise!

got a new phone!

After 4 years of waiting to get a camera phone, I finally had one! And got it for free via my father's Globe Platinum account, our cellular service provider. My new phone is a K800i from Sony Ericsson with a 3.2mp camera. Nice huh?? And it's perfect for me coz I love to take photos! =) But the best feature of my phone is that it's capable of directly posting to my Blogger account. Super cool!!! I can take a pic and post it in my blog without using a pc! Life is great... =) Here are sample pics from my phone. Sorry coz it's just my face decorated with built-in designs in the K800i. Hehe!

PINK flower power!

Everything is blooming in our garden! And I love it! Especially that most of our flowers are colored pink, hehe! My mother adores pink and that pink addiction rubbed off to me. And so we planted PINK flowering plants months ago, and now our eyes are reaping the benefits. The pink flowers are simply gorgeous!!! Breathtaking even.. Or that's just maybe because I'm addicted to pink! =) Anyway, as usual, I took a lot of photos of the pink blooms and here they are --

DAISY? ZINNIA? - not really sure, but who cares? as long as it's pink and not the usual yellow, orange or white :p

More pink flowers next time! Yes, there are still more, lol! Maybe I'll add the white and gold flowers too. Gardening has been my pasttime aside from earning online this past 2 months. What? How do I earn online? Check my other blog here. Lots of get-paid-to websites there! Happy earning and I hope you enjoyed the photos! =)

museum paintings

Nah, it's just more of my jazzed up photos. Hehe! I really like this theme, your picture as a museum painting, with onlookers viewing your face. Yeah, I'm egocentric =) Anyway, I would like to share another PINK blog with lots of pictures of the author. She's very famous actually, especially in Singapore. If you bloghop a lot, then you'll be familiar with XiaXue. I adore her filthy mouth (read her blog so you'll know what I mean, hehe!) and no-nonsense approach to life. But, the one thing I really love about her is her PINK addiction! Just like lil old me, hehe! She's currently doing a "princess room" in her bf's apartment and it's gonna be all done in pink. Can't wait to see the outcome!!! Maybe I'll pattern my room after her. My room's already done in pink but I could get some tips from XiaXue's room =) Anyway here are my lovely, lovely museum painting pictures:

jazz up your photos! =)

I stumbled on a very fascinating site and look what I made there! Ain't these photos grand?? I LOVE IT!!! =) If you want to have something like this, leave a comment and I'll point you to the site. I don't want to publicize the fancy site and get it clogged up, hehe! I still have lots of photos needing a bit of pizzazz =) For MORE of these jazzed up photos, see my Friendster profile and Yuwie page. Enjoy!

This must be the effect of my previous post which is about digital photography. You see I really love taking photos and editing them. But I have been very busy with my med school life until 2 months ago. Now, I'm free as a bird! I have all the time in the world to do what I want, yes! Hehe! =) Watch out for more of my jazzed up photos..
