career talk!

Whatever your line of work is, you should think about how your career will go. I’m sure there are plenty of opportunities available for developing your skills and knowledge, and this will affect your career development. For example, in Medicine, being a doctor is not as simple as the title. There are many different career paths a licensed doctor might trod. He may go into specialization (OBGYNE, Pedia, IM, Surgery, etc) or may go into government service. He can also go into medical research or be a professor in a health-related school. But for sure, to be successful, a doctor (or whatever your profession is) must continually improve his skills and understanding. He needs to continue learning throughout his career. And there are many ways he can do this – he can attend seminars, symposiums, and lectures where he may earn credits. This is what we call CME or Continuing Medical Education. I’m sure there’s an equivalent career advancement exercise like this in your own profession. And if I were you, grab the chance to attend it and improve your skills!
